2000 Census Campaign: This advertising campaign was historic because it was the first population count where the Census Bureau invested in Hispanic advertising. The Bravo Group was the lead Hispanic agency, working in collaboration with Y&R and others so that the Hispanic campaign,  with original creative in both Spanish and English, was created to address specific Hispanic insights, concerns and knowledge gaps but leveraged the branding elements from the broader campaign. Note that the Spanish tagline, “Es nuestro futuro, hágase contar,” was a transcreation of the English tagline, “It’s your future, don’t leave it blank,” to reflect our community’s collective sentiments and perspectives and to avoid any confusion with the Spanish word blanco, where it could be “blank” but also could mean “white.”
